Original Press Release:

VCO: High Performance V590ME09-LF Features Excellent Phase Noise and Low Power Consumption

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) model V590ME09-LF. The V590ME09-LF operates over the frequency range of 850 to 1050 MHz within 0.5 to 5.0V of tuning. This unmatched VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -100 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset while operating off a 5 Vdc supply and drawing only 15 mA of current.

The low cost V590ME09-LF is designed to deliver +5.5 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load and covers the frequency band with an average tuning gain of 63 MHz/V. This low noise VCO operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -20 to 70°C and features a typical second harmonic suppression of -13 dBc. The V590ME09-LF comes in Z-Comm’s standard MINI-14S package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. and it is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

The high performance V590ME09-LF is well suited for microwave radio and test equipment applications that require low phase noise performance.
