VCO: V844ME36-LF Features Linear Tuning



Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) model V844ME36-LF. The V844ME36-LF operates at 4100 to 4300MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc and provides better than 1.1:1 tuning linearity. This high performance VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -110 dBc/Hz @ 100 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 93 MHz/V.



The V844ME36-LF is designed to deliver 3 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load while operating off a 5 Vdc supply and drawing typically 15 mA of current. This low powered VCO operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -40 to 85°C. The V844ME36-LF features typical second harmonic suppression of -18 dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard, low profile MINI-14S-L package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.13 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
