VCO: Wideband USSP3300-LF Features Ultra Compact Size and Low Power Consumption

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) model USSP3300-LF in the S-band. The USSP3300-LF operates from 3050 to 3550 MHz within a tuning voltage range of 0 to 5 Vdc. This remarkable VCO features phase noise of -105 dBc/Hz @ 100 kHz offset while operating off a 3Vdc supply and typically drawing only 13mA of current.

The low cost USSP3300-LF provides the end user an output power of 1±3 dBm into a 50 Ω load while operating over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85°C. This high performing VCO suppresses the second harmonic to better than -12 dBc and covers the 500MHz bandwidth with a tuning linearity of better than 1.1:1. Making the USSP3300-LF even more attractive is its mere size. It comes in Z-Comm's standard USSP package measuring only 0.2 in. x 0.2 in. x 0.06 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

The USSP3300-LF is well suited for portable radio and test equipment applications that require low power consumption as well as low phase noise.
