Hoffman Introduces Pro-Grade Cabinet Designed For Small Business & Home Office Networks
Anoka, MN-June 7, 2002- In response to the need for voice/data cabinets designed and priced for small business needs, Hoffman has introduced two 19" SOHO (Small Office Home Office) Networking Cabinets. These compact cabinets are designed to house small LAN and WAN networking equipment, phone and voice mail devices, and servers-yet fit easily beneath a standard modular desk surface.
The SOHO Cabinets are available in two depths (600mm and 900mm-23.62" and 35.43" respectively), both designed to accommodate secure enclosure and cooling of up to 12 rack units of EIA standard 19" rack mount DataCom devices in a mere 26 inches of height. An integrated passive cooling system draws cool air via louvers in the base of the cabinet, creating a "chimney effect" by exhausting hot air through vents in the rear door. Optional 4-inch fans can be added to further increase airflow, helping to extend the life of components and increase operational reliability.
SOHO cabinets feature casters for easy access and relocation, lockable and removable hinged door and side panels, and a smoked acrylic window in the front door. Panels and doors fit flush to a rugged steel frame that features four rack angle mounting struts. In the rear of the cabinet, an adjustable gland plate provides cable strain relief as well as easy routing and secure cable entry. The cabinet features a durable black powder coat finish, inside and out.
