Visteon to Unveil New Innovations at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show

WHAT'S HAPPENING: Visteon Corporation is hosting a press conference to unveil two of its new mobile electronics technologies at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas -- HD Jump(TM), a transportable HD Radio(TM) product; and Wireless Charging, an in-vehicle technology that eliminates the need to have dedicated power cords for each portable device in the vehicle. The show runs Jan. 8-11.

INTERVIEW OR PHOTO/VIDEO OPPORTUNITY: The press conference will be held 10:30 a.m., Jan. 9, at Visteon's outdoor exhibit -- Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Plaza, CP7.

Visteon leaders will unveil the products and moderate panel discussions with other executives in the electronics industry, including President and CEO Bob Struble from iBiquity Digital, the developer of digital AM/FM HD Radio technology; and David Baarman from Fulton Innovation, the inventor and lead engineer for eCoupled technology -- intelligent wireless power.

BACKGROUND: Visteon's HD Jump is a transportable HD Radio receiver that docks into a cradle within the vehicle. An optional home kit allows the receiver to also be used with a home stereo. HD Jump offers the full spectrum of digital HD Radio features, including reception of the new FM HD2 multicasting channels, as well as improved sound quality and program- associated data, such as real-time song title, artist and album information, on both AM and FM stations.

Visteon's wireless charging technology is a convenient way to make sure batteries for mobile phones, MP3 players or PDAs are always charged and ready to go. This in-vehicle technology eliminates the need to have dedicated power cords for each portable device in the vehicle. The device is simply placed on Visteon's charger, and power is wirelessly transferred by electromagnetic induction from the charger to the portable device at a rate comparable to a plug-in power cord.
