PresencePLUS® Vision Software Suite Now Available In Nine Languages

Minneapolis, MN-December 3, 2004-Banner Engineering Corp. has released its PresencePLUS® vision sensor software suite in nine languages including; English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. It is important to note that this is not limited to a translation of just the text portions of the software, but includes all buttons, commands and icons. "The only way to deliver a truly, user-friendly software platform in a native language is to make sure that 100% of the content a user will need to see and understand are presented accurately in their respective language," said Jeff Schmitz, Banner's Corporate Business Manager for Vision Sensors. Schmitz also added that companies doing business across various languages and borders will appreciate the ability to configure inspections in English, then ship the sensor to its destination and have the preloaded inspections ready to be activated and employed in the user's native language.

The PresencePLUS vision sensor software is intuitive, operates on Microsoft Windows® operating systems, offers a common graphical interface across all Banner vision products and is considered to be the easiest-to-use on the market today. Regardless if the user has operated a PresencePLUS Pro or the latest PresencePLUS P4 vision sensor, the graphical user interface is consistent between products including all logical wizard-like setup procedures as well as commands, icons and buttons making the operation of any of the Banner vision sensors seamless and simple. "Once you are familiar with one type of Banner PresencePLUS vision sensor, you will be comfortable with all PresencePLUS sensors because the user interface is the same," Schmitz added.

The Banner PresencePLUS vision software is available on Banner's web site or a convenient CD for all sensor platforms. Once installed on the host computer, changeover to any of the nine different languages is an easy mouse click. Users with requirements to set up sensors in multiple geographic manufacturing locations or needing to accommodate multiple languages spoken in a single location will find the single installation beneficial.

Schmitz also said it is important to note that the PresencePLUS vision software is only necessary during sensor set up and a PC is not required for sensor operation -and all of the PresencePLUS sensors offer Live Video, which makes setup, changeovers and live process monitoring of inspections quick and easy.
