Vishay Intertechnology to Showcase Latest Industry-Leading Technologies at PCIM Asia 2015
MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced its technology lineup for PCIM (Power Conversion, Intelligent Motion) Asia 2015, taking place June 24-26 in Shanghai, China. In booth 4B16 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC), the company will be highlighting industry-leading innovations — including passive components, diodes, power MOSFETs, and optoelectronics — that provide increased efficiency and reliability for a wide range of applications.
At PCIM Asia 2015, Vishay Siliconix will highlight MOSFETs in a variety of space-saving packages, including the PowerPAIR®, MICRO FOOT®, and PowerPAK® 8x8L. Featured devices will include high-voltage E Series MOSFETs built on superjunction technology for high-efficiency AC/DC power conversion in solar inverters, and AEC-Q101-qualified SQ Series MOSFETs for automotive applications. Also on display will be 400 V to 600 V D Series devices; TrenchFET® Gen IV n-channel MOSFETs with low on-resistance times gate charge figure of merit (FOM); and p-channel devices with industry-low on-resistance of 0.0016 Ω and 0.0020 Ω at -10 V and -4.5 V ratings, respectively.
In Vishay's booth, Vishay Siliconix will also be demonstrating the high efficiency and power density of its 80 V to 100 V ThunderFET® MOSFETs in the isolated bus converter stage; the optimized electrical and thermal performance of its PowerPAIR TrenchFET Gen IV solutions in the point-of-load power stage; and the proven repetitive avalanche capability of its automotive Trench MOSFETs.
For automotive and solar inverter applications, Vishay will be featuring diodes in a variety of low-profile packages, including TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers, standard rectifiers with ESD capability, FRED Pt® ultrafast recovery rectifiers in the SMPD (TO-263AC) package, and FRED Pt ultrafast recovery rectifiers in the SlimSMA (DO-221AC), SMF (DO-219AB), and SMPC (TO-277A) packages. The company will display 600 V and 650 V FRED Pt Gen 4 Ultrafast recovery diodes optimized for high-frequency converters, as well as Trench IGBTs designed to increase efficiency and IGBT power modules in EMIPAK-1B and EMIPAK-2B packages.
Vishay will also highlight optoelectronics products for solar inverters, wind turbines, MRI machines, and other high-working-voltage applications. Featured products will include IGBT/MOSFET drivers with a minimum 10 mm clearance and external creepage distance, 10 MBd widebody optocouplers, and Cat IV high-isolation optocouplers in surface-mount packages. Vishay will be conducting demonstrations of its gesture control sensor board, which is composed of the Vishay Semiconductors VCNL4020 proximity sensor and two VSMF2890RGX01 infrared emitters.
Passive components from Vishay will comprise a wide variety of the company's latest capacitors, resistors, and inductors. Highlighted resistors will include automotive-grade Vishay Dale Power Metal Strip® resistors with high power to 3 W and Power Metal Strip battery shunts for power meter and battery management applications, in addition to Vishay MCB's water-cooled wirewound resistor for high-power applications. Also on display will be the company's high-voltage, high-temperature thin film resistors, in addition to pre-wired, grid, and custom power resistor assemblies and load banks. Featured inductors will include power chokes and custom magnetic inductors.
Capacitors on display at PCIM Asia 2015 will include Vishay ESTA line-frequency, filter, medium-frequency, and power electronic capacitors; Vishay BCcomponents aluminum capacitors with a high temperature range to +150 °C and long useful life to 6,000 hours for automotive power trains and renewable energy equipment; and AC line rated ceramic disc capacitors for power and smart meters. Also on display will be Vishay Cera-Mite high-voltage ceramic DC disc capacitors and Vishay Roederstein polypropylene film capacitors for AC filtering and DC-link applications.
