Fast, Precise Viscosity Measurement
The Dynatrol® Viscosity Systems provide fast, precise viscosity measurement for use on a wide variety of applications: plastics, chemicals, inks, paper, paints, coatings, foods, etc. Dynatrol® Systems utilize unique vibratory principles to provide continuous measurement at on-line process conditions. The Dynatrol® Viscosity System consists of a viscosity probe, either in-line or stand-alone, and an analog converter.
The Viscosity Probe utilizes a vibrating rod immersed in the process media. The design is without recesses, packing or wearing parts. The Dynatrol® Viscosity Probe is available in stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant materials. It
can operate in ranges to 100,000 centipoise. It has a standard pressure rating of 1000 PSI and a standard temperature range to 300°F. Higher pressure arid temperature ratings are available to meet specific needs and satisfy a wide range of requirements. With no moving parts, it is virtually wear-free - ensuring
a long operating life.
The Viscosity Stand Alone package provides a solution where an in-line viscometer is not practical. Its 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet process connections can be valve isolated from the process stream to facilitate cleaning procedures, calibration, etc. This stand-alone system maintains the same standard ratings as our in-line system.
The Analog Converter operates with all Dynatrol® Viscosity Probes and converts the probe's signal into a 4-2O mA standard output, with other outputs available. If temperature compensation is needed, specify Model EC-313. All converter
models are designed with 10-Turn indicating dial pots to adjust span and zero.
