SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 9 / Attune Systems, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class Network File Management (NFM) solutions, today announced the Maestro File Manager(TM) FM5500(TM), providing unique and powerful new NFM functionality combined with the easiest and lowest-risk deployment options available on the market today. The solution dramatically reduces the complexity and cost of managing heterogeneous file server and file data resources without disrupting users or requiring risky cut-over deployments.

Maestro minimizes the deployment risk, because it allows system administrators to incrementally deploy new, robust virtualization capabilities across their existing file server and NAS infrastructure by supporting three concurrent operational stages, including out-of-band discovery, native mode and extended mode. The solution preserves the client view of their content while providing significant cost saving policy-based management, in-depth resource discovery, alerts, reporting and proactive intervention to avoid disruption and preserve business continuity in a fashion that no other product can today. Maestro also provides important capabilities, including data consolidation, server retirement, automated NAS and file server tiering, global namespace, file server load balancing, and pooling in a unique and non-disruptive fashion.
