Virtual Industries to Feature Vacuum Handling Solutions for Medical Applications at MD&M East 2012

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Virtual Industries Inc., a leading supplier of manual vacuum handling solutions, announces that it will display several advanced systems for medical applications in Booth #2353 at the upcoming Medical Design & Manufacturing East Exposition, scheduled to take place May 22-24, 2012 at the Pennsylvania Convention center in Philadelphia, PA.

Company representatives will highlight products from its sister company - Prime Axis Manufacturing (www.primeaxismfg.com). Prime Axis Manufacturing uses world-class CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality machined parts.

The Deluxe Vacuum Tweezer Kit with 16 Delrin Small Part Tips (V8100A-FS-110-DLX-D) provides additional pick-up power for handling parts as small as 300 µm to extremely large sized components. The precision pump generates more than 15" of mercury. The compact tower design takes up a very small footprint on the bench.

An electric eye pen holder on the side automatically shuts the unit off when the vacuum pen is placed in it. A jack on the rear of the V8100A series allows use of the optional foot or hand switch to control vacuum during pick-and-place operations.

The Mini Vacuum Pumps for OEM applications (VMP1621CN and VMP1625MX) can be used for applications requiring air flow, vacuum or air pressure. Typical applications include air quality sampling, organic vapor analyzers, equipment requiring a vacuum source, or equipment requiring a pressure source.

The mini vacuum pumps are small, but provide high performance with a motor life of up to 5,000 hours. The pump valves are made of durable stainless steel and the diaphragm is fabric reinforced viton. The pumps come with a 43 micron inlet filter and mounting clip.
