Viega Offers Stainless Steel Transition Fittings
WICHITA, KAN. - Stainless steel transition fittings are now available for connecting Viega's ProPress® system to existing piping systems in commercial and industrial facilities. The transition fittings enable installers to connect directly from either welded pipe systems or grooved pipe systems.
Offered in 2 1/2-, 3- and 4-inch sizes, the stainless steel transition fittings are made from either high quality 304 or 316 stainless steel and come with an EPDM sealing element. Six sizes enable connections to welded pipe systems (P x Weld) and six sizes provide connections to grooved pipe systems (P x Groove).
The stainless steel transition fittings are pressure rated at 200 psi and feature a temperature rating of 0 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Viega's ProPress system for joining stainless steel pipe uses a unique press technology to secure pipe connections in less than seven seconds. The system, consisting of stainless steel pipe, valves and fittings, provides a faster, more reliable, flameless way to make water-tight and air-tight stainless steel connections.

The P x Weld transition fittings meet ASTM F1476, and the P x Groove transition fittings meet the ASTM F1548 standards.
