Video Software provides virtual studio for 4K cameras.

Press Release Summary:

Without requiring motion sensor, VRCAM3 links computer graphics to camera motion via 4K camera connection. Brainstorm rendering engine, using extracted 4K image areas, takes 3G-SDI input video and produces HD-SDI output in real-time. High resolution is maintained when digitally zooming in on 4K source material, and precise chromakeying retains fine details. Users can configure camera motion information and create real-time computer graphics using 4K-extracted HD material without moving camera.

FOR-A to Introduce 4K Sensor-Less Virtual Studio System at Nab 2014

VRCAM3 offers a virtual studio for 4K cameras

Cypress, CA – FOR-A Corporation of America announces the introduction of VRCAM3, its sensor-less virtual studio solution. The VRCAM3 is an economical virtual studio system that links computer graphics to camera motion by simply connecting it to a 4K camera, without the need for a motion sensor. The company will debut the VRCAM3 at the upcoming NAB Show (Booth C5117).

Using extracted 4K image areas, the VRCAM3’s Brainstorm rendering engine takes 3G-SDI input video and produces HD-SDI output in real time with stunning image quality. The solution maintains high resolution when digitally zooming in on 4K source material, and offers extremely precise chromakeying to retain even fine details at 4K resolution.

VRCAM3 users can configure camera motion information and create real-time computer graphics using 4K-extracted HD material without moving the actual camera. When the VRCAM3’s virtual camera functions are used, the graphics are kept in sync with extracted material in real time.

“At NAB 2014, our focus is on showcasing that FOR-A knows 4K,” said Hiro Tanoue, the president of FOR-A Corporation of America. “We’re displaying products for every stage of the 4K workflow. The VRCAM3 is an innovative virtual studio solution that can benefit the operations of many broadcasters.”

On the graphics front, FOR-A will also be debuting its VTW-350HS HD/SD character generator at NAB. The compact solution features a rich array of text/graphic functions, more than 260 transitions, and template control, making it an ideal fit for live applications.
