NAB 2009: DVS Premieres VENICE for Professional Video and Broadcast



At NAB 2009, DVS will introduce VENICE, a server for video content typically used in broadcast environments. VENICE supports compressed formats such as Avid DNxHD®, XDCAM® or DVCPRO® for fast, secure and reliable processing of digital video content.

Hanover/Las Vegas. In booth SL6920 DVS will launch an all-new product line specifically suited for the broadcast market. The VENICE broadcast video server captures data directly from cameras, tape recorders, P2 cards or hard drives. Material can be accessed and processed directly with multiple editing systems. VENICE provides two independent pairs of video channels for ingest and play-out.

The VENICE broadcast video server enables users to achieve fast, consistent workflows with compressed video formats. Different data formats can be converted on-the-fly. VENICE also supports parallel processing of SD and HD projects.

With the introduction of VENICE, DVS leverages its longstanding expertise in digital film processing to meet the tapeless workflow requirements of professional video and broadcast.
