Video Compression Boards target CCTV security systems.

Press Release Summary:

DVA Series video compression boards accept up to 16 video inputs at 30 fps (NTSC) or
25 fps (PAL), for maximum 480 fps at CIF resolution. On-board hardware compression ensures full-frame recording, regardless of processor load. DVA board performs hardware compression and decompression, feeds signals to host RAM for analysis and motion detection, and provides alarm inputs and outputs. EEPROM contains configuration and security settings.

Original Press Release:

Video Compression for CCTV Security Systems

New DVA Series video compression boards from CyberResearch, Inc. offer 16 inputs, 480 frames/sec, and nonuniform paging sequences. CPU loads are kept low by on-board hardware compression and an EEPROM for configuration and security settings. Alarm events can be used to control video outputs and paging.

CyberResearch® DVA video compression boards were designed specifically for CCTV security systems. One DVA board accepts up to 16 inputs, on which it performs hardware compression and decompression, feeds signals to host RAM for analysis and motion detection, and provides the alarm inputs and outputs you need to draw attention to special situations. An EEPROM contains your configuration and security settings, offloading your CPU.

DVA boards accept up to 16 video inputs at 30 frames/sec (NTSC) or
25 frames/sec (PAL), for a maximum of 480 frames/sec at CIF resolution.
On-board hardware compression ensures full-frame recording, regardless
of processor load. When recording all 16 channels at 30 frames/sec/channel,
processor load on a Celeron® 700 CPU is less than 7%. A user-definable area on
each channel can be masked to meet privacy requirements.

In addition to DVA video compression boards - now shipping from stock -
CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged PCs, monitors, CPU cards, data-acquisition, and motion-control systems. For more information, call Joe Tetreault at 800-341-2525, or visit http://www.cyberresearch.com/cctv.
