ST. LOUIS — Victor Technologies will exhibit its full range of innovative cutting, gas control and specialty welding technologies in Booth #N1457 and Booth #N1461 at the FABTECH 2013 Expo, November 18 - 21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The company plans oxy-fuel and plasma cutting contests as part of its Victor 100th Anniversary celebration. Victor will also announce the winners of more than $30,000 in equipment and cash prizes as part of the "A Cut Above" student contest, and the winners of its "Show Us Your Innovations" 2014 cutting calendar competition.

Cutting Solutions

Booth visitors will be able to try the new Victor® ST400 straight torch, which incorporates the patented Victor 400 series handle that uses a high strength alloy material for durability and features an ergonomic shape to improve operator comfort. The torch’s three-tube design provides a clearer view of the cutting path, while visual cues on the oxygen and fuel knobs simplify use and enhance safety. The ST400 is available separately or as part of a cutting outfit featuring G Series regulators.

The Victor Thermal Dynamics® Ultra-Cut® XT series of power sources for automated plasma cutting features an integrated system of optimized components for delivering superior cut quality, a lower cost per cut and cuttings speeds of up to 80 inches per minute on 1" steel. Ultra-Cut XT systems meet EU Level 5 efficiency standards with an average electrical efficiency of 92 percent and help companies lower utility bills by drawing 20 percent less primary current compared to previous models. The Ultra-Cut XT Series is available in 100 to 400-amp configurations for cutting plate up to 2" (50mm) thick, and its modular design makes upgrading quick and easy.

Victor Thermal Dynamics will hold live demonstrations of its CUTMASTER® series of hand-held plasma cutters, which now feature a new green trade dress and updated branding. CUTMASTER manual plasma cutters provide end users with the ability to cut any metal quickly, conveniently and accurately. All CUTMASTER manual plasma models will be available to booth visitors for hands-on cutting demonstration.
