Victaulic Improves FireLock® Series 745 Fire-Pac Design to Enhance Ease of Installation and Maintenance
CHICAGO - NFPA Conference and Expo (Booth #209) - June 8-10, 2009- Victaulic, a leading global producer of mechanical pipe joining and fire protection systems, has announced a new design for the FireLock® Series 745 Fire-Pac case. It is a complete pre-assembled fire protection valve with trim that includes all optional components enclosed in a metal cabinet. Victaulic's new design will improve the ease of installation and maintenance for engineers and owners.
"The new FireLock Fire-Pac design will save our customers installation time," said Eric McWhirter, product manager, Victaulic Fire Suppression Systems. "The new design improves access to internal components and wiring for easier installation and maintenance."
The Fire-Pac includes removable side panels for improved access to internal components, and analog gauges are visible through the front door. It also includes a manual pull station and improved circuit breaker design for isolation and troubleshooting. Available in 1 ½ inch through 6 inch/40-150 mm sizes, the FireLock Fire-Pac can incorporate any of the following available valve configurations:
In addition the new FireLock Fire-Pac includes a water supply shutoff valve, a sprinkler system fire protection valve, alarm line pressure switches, air supervisory pressure switches, and supervisory pump switches.
The FireLock Series 745 Fire-Pac is cULus Listed and Factory Mutual (FM) approved and is supported by the System Sensor PDRP-2001 Deluge Preaction Control Panels under NFPA 13, 15 and 16.
Victaulic will feature the FireLock® Series 745 Fire-Pac at the NFPA Conference and Expo in Chicago, June 8-10, in booth #209.
