Vibration Monitors are self-contained.

Press Release Summary:

Model 1900/15 and Model 1900/17 Vibration Monitors offer users radial vibration measurement capabilities via proximity probes. Model 1900/15 can accept inputs from either 3300 XL 8 mm or 3300 XL NSvTM proximity transducer systems, and provides 2 levels of alarm: ALERT and
DANGER. LCD display provides local indication of vibration amplitude. Model 1900/17, identical to 1900/15, has 4 to 20 mA output in lieu of the Trendmaster® 2000 connection.

Bently Nevada Releases Two New Vibration Monitors For 1900 Series

MINDEN, 6 NOVEMBER 2001 - Bently Nevada today announced the release of two new vibration monitors in their 1900 Series. Introduction of the 1900/15 and 1900/17 affords users the ability to make radial vibration measurements using proximity probes. The 1900 Series product family was designed specifically to provide economical machinery protection where only one, or a few, points need to be measured on general-purpose machinery. For these situations, a self-contained, single-channel monitor is a more practical solution than a complete rack-based system.

"We would prefer to monitor balance-of-plant machinery the same way we would critical machinery," says Rett Jesse, Manager, North American Services, "but that level of sophistication is often economically hard to justify. Our 1900 Series solves that problem." When it was first released, three versions were available to make casing measurements on cooling towers (1900/55) and on general-purpose machinery (1900/25 and 1900/27). "Proximity probe-based monitoring was the next logical step in the development of the 1900 Series," says Jim Adams, Project Applications Engineer. "A significant number of general-purpose machines have fluid-film bearings, and proximity probes are the appropriate transducers for these applications."

Bently Nevada's 1900/15 monitor can accept inputs from either the 3300 XL 8 mm or the 3300 XL NSvTM proximity transducer system and provides two levels of alarm: ALERT and
DANGER. An integral LCD display provides local indication of vibration amplitude. Alarm and OK conditions are locally annunciated with LEDs, and corresponding relays facilitate connection to external systems for centralized annunciation and/or shutdown purposes. The 1900/15 is provided with special connections to allow direct interface with our Trendmaster3 2000 system, eliminating the need for a separate TIM (Transducer Interface Module). Along with the release of the 1900/15 is the 1900/17. Identical to its counterpart in functionality, it is equipped with a 4 to 20 mA output in lieu of the Trendmaster® 2000 connection.
