Vibration Monitors are housed in fiberglass enclosure.

Press Release Summary:

Housed in Series 684 NEMA 4X enclosures, Model 683 Vibration Meters offer excitation power for 4-20 mA vibration sensors or ICP® accelerometers and display peak or rms vibration data on scalable LED display. Set point relays (2) offer alarm or control capabilities, and relay action is time-delayed to eliminate false alarm trips due to momentary upsets. Hinged doors provide ease of access to all necessary wiring, and power connections are ganged to common terminals.

Vibration Monitors

August 11, 2003, Depew, NY - IMI Sensors, a PCB Piezotronics division, announces the Series 684 Enclosures for housing up to eight Model 683 Vibration Meters. These NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosures are provided with vibration meters factory installed to provide environmental protection and ease of installation by the user. Each vibration meter offers excitation power for 4 to 20 mA vibration sensors or ICP® accelerometers and displays peak or rms vibration data on a fully scalable, highly visible, LED display. In addition, two set point relays offer alarm or control capabilities. Relay action is time-delayed to eliminate false alarm trips due to momentary upsets. Hinged doors provide ease of access to all necessary wiring. Power connections are ganged to common terminals and an optional BNC output per channel offers analog vibration signals for analysis and diagnostic purposes.

The systems are intended for machinery condition monitoring to provide an early warning of impending failure of bearings or gears. Such vibration monitoring practices can help reduce the occurrence of unanticipated downtime, resulting in increased production, better maintenance practices, and increased profitability.
