SDC002 Vibealarm Is An Innovative, Flexible Vibration Monitoring Device For Process Control
CINCINNATI, OH (November 6, 2003) -The SDC002 VibeAlarm from THE MODAL SHOP is a DIN rail mountable monitoring unit designed to warn against excessive machinery vibration levels. Perfect for process control and reliability applications, the VibeAlarm provides output against user-configurable alert and alarm levels via LCD display and current loop, as well as either momentary or latching contact closure for alarming or shutdown capabilities.
A 4-20 mA current loop output, proportional to the conditioned, filtered sensor signal is provided through a screw terminal. This allows direct connection to a PLC, SCADA, plant control bus, or other process control systems, without additional interfaces. The VibeAlarm provides a single ICPW, sensor input, typically an accelerometer, via screw terminal, and a buffered accelerometer output is provided for connection to an external monitoring or "walk-around" system through a panel-mounted BNC.
SDC002 VibeAlarm output can be specified in units of acceleration, velocity, or displacement, either English or metric, displayed on the front panel LCD. Vibration in excess of user-specified alert and alarm levels is indicated through front panel LED's as well as relay contact closure. The software configuration interface provided allows for quick and easy setup of the SDC002 through a standard RS-232 port.
