Vibration Monitor offers alarm and shutdown outputs.

Press Release Summary:

Model 8812 K-Guard vibration level monitor and switch allows for external 100 mV/g accelerometer to be remotely located from signal processing module. Housed in NEMA-4X (IP65) enclosure, it provides field set point range of 0.08 to 2 in./sec, velocity peak range of 4 in./sec, and frequency range of 10 to 1000 Hz. Partnered with a piezoelectronic sensor, 8812 operates on 18 to 30 Vdc supply voltage, and provides True RMS signal output.

Solid State Vibration Monitor for Industrial Applications K-Guard(R) Model 8812

The Model 8812 K-Guard vibration level monitor and switch allows for an external 100 mV/g accelerometer to be remotely located from the signal processing module. The combination accelerometer and electronic module guards rotating machinery and other equipment against excessive vibration levels caused by imbalance, misalignment, looseness and worn bearings. When high vibration levels are detected (set point exceeded), a relay is activated that can be used for machine shut down or to warn an operator of impending danger.

The 8812 is housed in a rugged NEMA-4X (IP65) enclosure and provides a field set point range of 0.08 to 2 in/sec (2 to 50 mm/sec), a velocity peak range of 4 in/sec (100 mm/sec) and a frequency range of 10 to 1000 Hz (600 to 60000 CPM). Unlike mechanical switches, the 8812 is partnered with a piezoelectric sensor, featuring high accuracy and reliability while protecting against false triggering. The K-Guard operates on a supply voltage of 18 to 30VDC and provides a True RMS signal output along with alarm or shutdown outputs.

K-Guard is a cost-effective solution for continuous long-term monitoring on cooling towers and machinery such as, fans, motors, conveyors, centrifugal pumps, generator sets, and other types of industrial devices.
