New Vibration-Free Platform Boasts Tabletop Flatness Of ±0.004 Inches Over 24 Inches X 24 Inches

BOSTON, MA - Kinetic Systems, Inc., announces availability of their Model 2212 Vibration-free Platform, a portable vibration control system with an ultraflat tabletop. With a guaranteed flatness of ±0.004" over 24" x 24", the newly improved Model 2212 is designed to enhance the performance of atomic force microscopes, microhardness testers, profilometers, balances, audio components, and other precision tabletop equipment. Combining the economy and portability of a breadboard with the self-leveling, active-air system of a vibration isolation workstation, the platform provides excellent vertical vibration control and low natural frequency.

The Model 2212 is available in four table sizes up to 24" x 36", with load capacities ranging up to 450 lbs. It is Class 100 cleanroom compatible, with Class 10 available as an option. Tabletops are available with mounting holes, which can be tapped on an English (¼-20 x 1") or metric (M6 x 25mm) grid. Tops with mounting holes are available with Kinetic Systems' proprietary SPILLPRUF(TM) design, where entire rows of holes are sealed off to protect the honeycomb core from accidental spills. Other available tabletop surfaces are white or black plastic laminate and white antistatic laminate.

The Model 2212 is light enough (130-160 lbs.) to be moved to different locations, making it available to multiple operators and different processes when necessary.
