Vibration Controllers meet prodution test application needs.

Press Release Summary:

Type 7541 and 7542 vibration controllers have dual, parallel A/Ds that deliver 130 dB dynamic range for input channels, without need for programmable voltage range circuitry, which eliminates both signal under-ranges and overloads. Able to operate standalone, buttons on front panel facilitate setup and operation, while LAN interface allows wireless operation and control of multiple devices. Type 7542 offers up to 64 input channels while Type 7541 suits applications requiring 2-4 input channels.

Good Vibrations

Sound and vibration leader, Brüel & Kjaer, has released its next-generation vibration controller.

Type 7541 and 7542 vibration controllers are designed to meet the requirements of vibration testing for production test applications, offering users the latest technologies as part of the complete vibration test solution from Brüel & Kjaer.

Both of the new variants promise to save time and simplify testing procedures by virtually guaranteeing signal under-ranges and overloads are eliminated. This is thanks to dual, parallel A/Ds that deliver an exceptionally wide 130 dB dynamic range for the input channels, without the need for programmable voltage range circuitry.

Stand-alone capability without the need for a PC during operation is another key to the controller's ease of use. Physical buttons on the front panel allow unskilled operators to get tests right the first time and prevent unwanted actions. Meanwhile, a built-in battery safeguards your shaker system and critical test data, even in the event of power failure.

PC connectivity is via a LAN interface that allows wireless operation and facilitates remote, centralised control of multiple controllers - away from the vibration table test stations. In addition to reducing cabling, the controller can be placed close to the shaker - and tests supervised and analysed remotely. Keyword searching of the embedded database makes it quick and easy to recall test setups and data, while the ASAM-ODS industry standard file format makes it easy to share data in order to expedite product design.

Modular and expandable, the Type 7542 controller offers up to 64 input channels for control and limiting, while its smaller brother - Type 7541 - is perfect for applications that require from two to four input channels.

Both controllers offer full-capability control and analysis software applications for random, swept sine, resonance dwell, classical shock, random and sine-on-random, shock SRS and field data replication. Controller software applications specifically tailored to each type of vibration test reduce learning time and make it easy to get results quickly.

The built-in integration functionality allows the controllers to automatically integrate and coordinate all of the test equipment, including the shaker amplifier and an environmental chamber

In addition to vibration controllers, Brüel & Kjaer produces transducers, data acquisition systems and the LDS product line of electro-dynamic shaker systems - all of which are designed to intelligently interact.
