Wildeck Unveils New V-Lift(TM) Hydraulic Material Lift for 'Lean' Manufacturing and 'Green' Facilities

Next-generation design combines high-value features and low cost attracting contractors, architects and facility designers.

Waukesha, WI - Wildeck, Inc. - With the economic recovery well under way and increasing demand for more efficient material handling solutions, Wildeck is making its strongest push ever into the highly competitive VRC (Vertical Reciprocating Conveyer) market. The company has hit the New Year running with the introduction of its new "V-Lift(TM)" - a hydraulically operated, cantilever material lift that may quickly rise to the head of the pack. Wildeck's "V" reportedly stands for Value, Versatility, and Vigorous construction that can be installed either in a shaftway, or free-standing with optional structural framing.

"The V-Lift(TM) is an ideal solution for 'green' building designs and crowded manufacturing facilities undergoing transformation towards 'lean' operations," states Hue Schlegel - Wildeck's Director of Marketing. "The preference today is to get more out of the space you have and become more efficient at handling finished goods on their way to the consumer. With the high value and low cost that Wildeck has built into this lift, we believe it will quickly become the VRC of choice for facility designers, architects, and contractors nationwide."

Wildeck's V-Lift(TM) is designed to meet ANSI/ASME B20.1 "Safety Standard for Conveyors." It incorporates industry-leading technology and attractive features such as guide columns constructed of 6-inch wide-flange structural steel, and a state-of-the art hydraulic ram with large 2-1/2 inch diameter dual pistons that deliver a smoother, more positive lifting motion than competitive designs.

The V-Lift's robust single-cylinder hydraulic system prevents twisting during operation and eliminates all moving hoses, cables, and chains. According to Wildeck, fewer components means easier installation, reduced maintenance, and longer service life.

The standard V-Lift(TM) carriage dimension is 6 ft. x 6 ft. with a lifting capacity up to 3,000 lbs. Material can be safely loaded or unloaded in a "C," "Z," or 90-degree pattern allowing for maximum installation flexibility. Models are offered for servicing heights up to 14 ft. Safety interlocks prevent the VRC from moving unless the gates are fully closed and the gates are designed to open only when the carriage is at a designated level. Additional safety features include mechanical stops that ensure positive leveling with the upper deck; redundant overload protection that prevents the carriage from lifting if loaded to more than 120% of its rated capacity; and velocity fuses that safely control VRC decent.

Complementing Wildeck's standard V-Lift(TM) package is a host of carriage options, ramps and controls to meet additional customer requirements. Adding to the V-Lift's environmental benefits is a 100% phosphate-free paint pre-treatment process incorporating a non-toxic biodegradable alkaline powder that virtually eliminates the introduction of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the atmosphere.

"The V-Lift(TM) is the ultimate lifting solution that is hitting the market at precisely the right time," states Schlegel. "Customers looking to improve their operations with a safe and affordable lifting solution that offers superior technology, high value, and a low cost of ownership over time need look no further than Wildeck."
