Rugged Components Characterize JLG's New Vertical Mast Lift

McConnellsburg, PA - A new vertical mast lift with robust components for construction, maintenance and retail applications is being introduced by JLG Industries. The JLG® Model 20MVL mobile vertical lift has a more robust gearbox, drive motor, controls and battery charger designed for heavy duty work. It can be driven at its 19-ft. 6-in. platform height, has a 350-lb. platform capacity and a 26-in. X 28-in. platform as standard equipment.

The clutch-free gearbox is the same as used on JLG's larger scissor lifts and the new electric drive motor uses four pick-up brushes that increase brush life five times the competition and provide drive speed to 3.5 mph. A light is illuminated at the control panel indicating that the drive motor brushes need replaced, protecting the motor from damage.

The Model 20MVL also has a new pistol-grip joystick controller for one-handed operation and a 25-amp charger with 25% more charging power for the standard 100 amp-hour batteries. There is also a 110-V double receptacle on the platform.

Safety features on the new 20MVL include interlocked controls, an automatic pothole protection system and a 1.5 degree tilt alarm.

Among the options are various platform sizes with gull-wing platform entry, a programmable four-digit security lock, a crane hook, a fluorescent light tube caddy and an 8-in. X 18-in. tool tray.
