New Shuttle XP VLM Tooth Belt Drive Provides Increased Durability While Reducing Noise and Maintenance

The new Shuttle(TM) XP Vertical Lift Module (VLM) from Remstar International operates at increased speeds and durability by utilizing an industrial strength steel belted tooth belt drive. The design allows multiple points of fully engaged contact to provide increased weight, safety and total load capacity. The technology reduces ambient unit sound, unlike chains, rack and pinion, or wires, because it makes use of the same concept relied upon in vehicle tires.

With no metal on metal moving parts or friction, steel belted tooth belts require no lubrication, are not prone to stretching or metal wearing, and require less maintenance. The design is meant to increase system strength and speed for cleaner, quieter, and faster operation.

The Shuttle XP VLM can handle loads up to 132,000 lbs and reach up to 65 feet tall to maximize overhead storage cube and increase floor space. Optional 34 inch tray depths provide even greater space savings and increased capacity within the same unit.
