Bergstrip Duplex-Plated Continuous Headers Added To FCI BASICS+ Portfolio
ETTERS, PA. (April 2, 2007) - FCI, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect systems, is announcing the addition of duplex-plated Bergstrip® continuously-molded, unshrouded vertical headers to the FCI BASICS+® portfolio. The reeled Bergstrip products consist of 0.025" (0.64mm) square pins installed on 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch in a continuous header body. The continuous strip can be cut to length as needed, giving users the flexibility to customize for a variety of header pin counts.
"Because the Bergstrip connector concept enables a wide range of product configurations to be cut-to-length from a single continuous strip, users can realize the benefits of reduced inventory levels for individual part numbers, improved capability for rapid response to product mix or demand changes, and fewer remnants than when cutting or breaking stik headers to size," said Alejandro Aguirre, Product Manager, FCI.
The duplex-plated Bergstrip range includes single-row and double-row headers with options for either 30 micro-inches or 15 micro-inches gold finish in the contact areas.
Prices for these products, which are available from stock to two weeks, range from $0.01 to $0.011 per contact.
