Construction Solutions Takes Spring Cleaning to the Laundry Room

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 22 -- With spring's arrival, many homeowners are thinking about ways to spruce up their homes. Construction Solutions is providing homeowners with new and easy, space enhancing solutions for problematic laundry rooms, where over 13,000 structural fires begin every year. The DBX1000 is a simple vent receptacle that provides streamlined storage space behind the clothes dryer to house the dryer flex hose and gas connection and reduces the threat of fire.

While maximizing multi-functional space, installing a dryer vent box also offers a safer gas line connection and minimizes the occurrence of kinks in the dryer hose that contribute to lint build-up (a well documented fire hazard). Homeowners can choose from the DBX1000 made of high impact polystyrene that meets all applicable UL94 requirements or the new DBX1000-M made from 22 gauge steal, which is an ideal solution for fire-rated walls.

The DBX1000 actually enables the dryer to be moved back four to six inches, saving homeowners an average of three square feet. Besides saving space, this also makes it possible for the washer and dryer to be evenly aligned, creating a more aesthetically pleasing laundry area.

Allowing appliances to be installed flush to the wall, the DBX1000 can also be used behind gas stoves, refrigerators, and even flat screen TV's to provide a molded wall cavity for the gas stove connection, water filtration system, or any wire connections.

Installation is simple with a direct vent knockout and Construction Solutions' patented snap-on trim ring and straps that anchor it to two wall studs. Its unique design allows the receptacle to be rotated in any direction to accommodate either upward or downward venting. It is better suited for homes being newly built, but is also able to be retro-fitted into an existing laundry room or kitchen.
