iKey's New 911 Vehicle Mount Keyboard Combines Innovation with Ease of Use

AUSTIN, Texas, April 17 /-- iKey, Inc., a leader in Industrial Peripherals manufacturing, today announces the release of the 911 Keyboard, a new vehicle mount keyboard. The 911 has an integrated touchpad and provides customers additional security with an optional Radio Frequency (RF) Prox ID Scanner.

The 911 Keyboard is designed for vehicle mount in emergency, police, service, transport trucks and even marine vessels. Features include a user-friendly integrated touchpad, backlit keys for low-light environments, one-touch emergency key, mounting holes and optional integrated ID Scanner for security. The new easy-to-use integrated touch pad was created to meet public demand for a user-friendly alternative to traditional HulaPoint(TM) devices.

"According to customer feedback, touchpads are more convenient in certain instances. While we have multiple compact solutions available with an integrated HulaPoint(TM), iKey strives to provide high-quality input devices for individuals' preferences. The SL-86-911-TP builds on previous successful models," says Joel East, iKey's Technical Designer. "iKey is a pioneer in the mobile keyboard industry, and despite competitors' attempts of replication, iKey's superior products are the premium solution."

The optional Prox ID Card technology is a new security feature integrated in 911 Keyboards. Prox Keyboards provide additional security by requiring users to log into computer terminals with a security badge. The new technology helps users protect sensitive information and eliminates threats of unwarranted user access to a terminal.

iKey's innovative line of NEMA-4X rated keyboards includes numerous compact models which are successfully implemented in a variety of mobile applications: mounting in vehicles, tanks, airplanes, submarines, forklifts, data-input devices and assembly lines. Constructed using a sealed, industrial silicone keypad and robust ABS polycarbonate case, iKey keyboards are completely sealed against loose food-products, dirt, dust, grease, unwanted spills and extreme temperatures. Available for purchase May 15, 2007.
