Vectron International Unveils New Frequency Control Products at electronica 2006 to Drive Innovation, Performance and Reliability

Showcases Latest Solutions to Help Customers Overcome Complex Challenges

MUNICH, Germany, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Vectron International, a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of Frequency Control, Sensor, and Hybrid Product solutions, today announced a wide range of new, leading edge frequency control products for the telecommunications, data communications, wireless infrastructure, military and space, and test equipment markets at electronica 2006, November 14 - 17, Hall B5, booth 237. The new products and enhancements further highlight Vectron's ability to drive innovation, performance and reliability and help customers stay ahead of the curve.

New solutions being showcased include the market's lowest profile double oven crystal oscillator (DOCXO) and oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). The C4700 DOCXO is 17 mm high with an available frequency range of 4 MHz to 15 MHz, is targeted for the stringent frequency stability requirements needed for CDMA and UMTS applications, and is RoHS lead-free compliant. At a height of 8mm, the C4530 OCXO is the shortest OCXO available on the market today and is optimized for production in a highly-automated factory setting, making it ideal for design in wireless applications.

"Solving complex problems in today's demanding high speed timing and synchronization environments can be challenging and requires a true partner that is committed to quality, service and innovation," said Rick Hajec, President at Vectron International. "Leveraging our global resources and more than 50 years of technology expertise, these new product introductions and enhancements being showcased at electronica 2006 will provide our customers with the quality solutions they require to deliver performance, reliability and lower TCO."

Additional product announcements being made at the show include the launch of an expanded range of high-reliability solutions for space applications, including the new FX-245 evacuated miniature crystal oscillator (EMXO) series for space, military airborne and mobile systems applications, and space certification of seven families of Vectron's radio frequency (RF) surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters. This certification enables manufacturers of radio systems, onboard systems, satellites and other similar equipment used in space related applications to meet the complex, high-stability requirements of today's challenging space programs.

Other products and services that will be showcased at Vectron's booth at electronica include:

* C4400 DIP OCXO series -- provides enhanced frequency stabilization in
expanded temperature ranges with lower phase noise. The C4400 series
can stabilize frequencies between 10 and 52 MHz in a temperature range
of -20 degrees Celsius to 75 degrees Celsius at better than 10ppb in a
DIP enclosure. It is designed for a 3.3V or 5V operation.

* The C2260, C2310 and C2310 High Frequency temperature controlled crystal
oscillators (TCXO) series -- Developed using a next-generation of TCXO
ICs, these three families enable a high stability and ultra-low phase
noise across a broad range of temperatures and frequencies. The C2260
and C2310 TCXO product families can stabilize a range of frequencies
including 26MHz, 13MHz, 12.8MHz and 10MHz in a temperature range of
0-50 degrees Celsius to better than 0.15ppm. Leveraging superb
multipliers technology, the new C2310 High Frequency TCXO can generate
frequencies between 400MHz to 800MHz with overall lifetime stability
better than 10ppm at a smaller size (9x14mm).

* The C5260 and C5310 series of VCXOs -- Offer smaller size and higher
frequencies for use in base stations, test equipment, switching and
portable equipment applications. The C5260 series is available at just
5x7mm, compared to the 9x14mm of other models, due to the use of
ultra-small components and COB technology. While the C5260 VCXO offers
frequencies ranging from 10MHz to 170MHz, the new C5310 VCXO series
offers frequencies up to 800MHz. With a unique oscillator design, the
C5260 and C5310 VCXOs provide low phase noise and tight stability,
while enabling individual tolerances of frequency over temperature,
initial, aging, as well as lower and upper limits of the pulling range.
Both are available for operation at 3.3V or 5V, with HCMOS LVPECL or
LVDS output.

* The C4550 OCXO -- Previously only available in a larger Eurocase
package, it is now being offered in a lower cost, smaller one inch
package with an LPP TO-8 crystal for better performance. With an
available frequency range of 10 MHz to 100 MHz and temperature
stabilities down to 200 ppb from -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees
Celsius.

* FX-730 and FX-427 frequency translators -- The FX-730 is the world's
smallest quartz-based, ultra-low jitter frequency translator and the
FX-427 is a new dual-output, low jitter frequency translator. The
FX-730 is offered in a 5 x 7.5 x 5 mm hermetic leadless ceramic
package. The FX-730 accepts input frequencies between 8 kHz and 850 MHz
and can translate that signal to a clean, low jitter output frequency
between 125 MHz and 850 MHz. Vectron's new FX-427 provides system
designers with superior quartz-based, advanced phase locked loop (APLL)
performance in a surface mount package of 13.7 x 20.3 x 5.1 mm. The FX-
427 translates input frequency ranges between 8 kHz to 200 MHz into a
clean, low-level jitter output frequency between 500 MHz and 850 MHz.
