VDO AcquaLink Multifunctional Nav Sensor Delivers Accurate Vessel Readings through Satellite Interlink

• Calculates and provides necessary vessel navigation data

Allentown, PA – Continental Commercial Vehicles Aftermarket offers the VDO AcquaLink® Nav Sensor, an NMEA 2000 certified sensor that provides GPS position, date/time, speed over ground, course over ground, elevation, heading, barometric pressure air, air temperature, rate of turn and pitch/roll data.

The VDO AcquaLink Nav Sensor is built by Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and accessories for the marine market, and the maker of the world renowned VDO ViewLine Instrumentation.

The AcquaLink Nav Sensor’s Inertial sensor delivers a resolution of 1°/s with a YAW-range of 100°/s. Linearity is + / -3°/s. The acceleration range is 50 m/s2 with a linearity of + / -1 m/s2. The calculated heeling and pitch & roll range is + / -w50°. The flux compass features a + / -40° tilt angle, < 2° accuracy, alarm rapid field strength change, tilt angle overrun and under voltage condition. It uses a fluxgate to electronically display the readings.

The VDO AcquaLink Nav Sensor connects to the vessel’s network using an M12 5pin connector and operates off an 8-28V voltage. It has an operating temperature range of -4F/-20 °C to +158F/+70 °C. The sensor can either be flat mounted directly to the vessel or can be pole mounted using the provided adapter. The integrated LED provides a quick reference to sensor status.
