VarioFlow Pallet Conveyor System: New Combination Merge/Divert Unit from Rexroth Provides More Traffic Control Options - ATExpo '07

Merge/divert unit for Rexroth VarioFlow modular plastic conveyor system simplifies installation and modifications while adding new capabilities in "traffic" control.

(Buchanan, MI - www.boschrexroth-us.com) A new combination merge/divert unit for Rexroth's popular VarioFlow pallet transport system adds new capabilities in traffic control for VarioFlow 65- and 90-mm chain widths.

In pallet-based VarioFlow systems, parts travel on standard or custom pallets that ride on the VarioFlow chain. Standard practice in typical systems is to use individual conveyor accessories or modules to stop, position, divert pallets from, or merge them back onto main conveyors, and to move parts smoothly through assembly processes, inspections, parts rejection, and other operations. Kits (including those from Rexroth) are typically available for 90° and 45° transitions on to (merge) and off of (divert) the main conveyor.

Rexroth's new combination merge/divert units save time, simplify installation and make later system modifications easier. They take up less space then separate merge and diverts, and allow for side spurs to be placed closer together, reducing the total footprint for many systems. They also offer even more cost efficiency in the already competitively-priced VarioFlow pallet system line.

VarioFlow modular plastic chain conveyors offer ease of installation and creation of customized system solutions from a suite of standard, modular components. Together with Rexroth's TS1 and TSplus conveyor systems, VarioFlow pallet systems complete the world's largest offering of pallet-based conveyors to create the optimum solution for each application.
