New, Higher Current Variable-Linearity Coils for CRT Applications
Prem Magnetics, Inc. announces the addition of two new printed circuit mount variable-linearity coils. Prem's product numbers 8255 and 8256 were developed for applications having yoke current requirements of 6.0 Amps (8255) and 9.0 Amps (8256) respectively. In addition to increased current capability, these two coils offer extended operation up to 90 KHz.
The coils are fingertip adjustable via an attached rotating magnet to compensate for standard manufacturing material and other component tolerances. This provides improved and more precise linearity in cathode ray tube (CRT) displays.
Both coils meet UL 94 V-2 requirements, and are designed for vertical mounting on a printed circuit board. A footprint of 0.800" (20.32 mm) diameter and height of 1.30" (33.02 mm) height results in minimal printed circuit board real estate usage.
Pricing in moderate production quantities ranges from $4.37 to $4.63 each. Availability is stock to 6 weeks.
