Magnatex MPT Regenerative Turbine Vane Pump Resolves Volatile Situation

The Magnatex(R) MPT Regenerative Turbine Vane Pump has gained praise as a superior pump for the safe and efficient handling of high volatility fluids.

A monomer processing facility was struggling to find a pump capable of circulating highly volatile fluids without cavitation. They also needed a pump capable of reliable operation
under 2 ft of static NPSH, at line pressures up to 100 psi and flow rates of only 2-3 gpm. Canned motor pumps failed due to insufficient cooling. Diaphragm pumps proved ineffective due to chronic leakage and severe discharge flow pulsation. The MPT pump, designed for small flows at medium to high heads, was the perfect solution to the dilemma.

The Magnatex MPT Regenerative Turbine Vane Pump is a magnetically driven, sealless pump featuring a regenerative turbine vane impeller and rare earth Neodymium magnets for synchronous drive with no slippage and less internal heat than other mag-drive pumps. The close-coupled design saves space, eliminates alignment problems, and reduces installation costs. The MPT Pump requires lower horsepower than competitive pumps,
provides better pump hydraulics at very low flow rates and can handle high volatility fluids without cavitation. Other proven benefits include longer MTBF and lower total cost of
ownership.

The MPT Pump's sealless mag drive design, regenerative turbine vane impeller and unique performance envelope combined to offer trouble-free operation in this application.
