Parker Fluid Control Division Introduces Innovative Watertight Coils for its Valve Lines

NEW BRITAIN, CT/July 23, 2003 - Parker's Fluid Control Division, purveyors of the Skinner(TM), Gold Ring(TM), R Series, Lucifer and Scem lines of solenoid and process control valves, now offers improved, watertight coils for its Skinner 7000 Series and Gold Ring valves. These encapsulated coils, which totally enclose and protect the electrical components of the coil, have been redesigned to provide superior watertightness and chemical resistance.

The valves feature a unique bobbin design that prevents media from leaking in and helps the coil withstand higher water pressure in wash-down applications, all while maintaining its non-corrosive finish. The new design will consequently expand the valves' life expectancy and reduce downtime and maintenance. Plus, the company's watertight coils exceed industry standards (which require valves to only meet NEMA type-four requirements), and are offered at no additional cost to the customer.

Parker Fluid Control Division's Skinner 7000 Series and Gold Ring valves are utilized in a variety of applications in numerous industries, including food service, commercial equipment and machinery, and medical equipment. They can be found controlling the flow of steam, water and other fluids in cooking equipment beverage-dispensing equipment, draining applications, commercial laundry equipment, car wash and irrigation systems, water and waste treatment applications, as well as in virtually any industrial device requiring fluids or air to perform work.
