Bradley Simplifies TMY Installations with New Navigator® Valve Systems

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., (Feb. 22, 2006) - Bradley is rounding out its line of Navigator® thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) with two new high-capacity valves and a high-low recirculation system. These pre-assembled systems make it easier for engineers to specify and install the right valve system for commercial applications.

High-Capacity Valve Systems
Bradley's new Navigator TMV models S59-3260 and S59-3400 have two High-Low Valves pre-assembled in parallel in combination with a piping assembly and inlet/outlet shut-off valves, to handle the water capacity requirements for larger applications (up to 260 and 394 gallons per minute, respectively). The TMVs blend hot and cold water to regulate water temperature and prevent water temperature extremes such as hot-water scalding. These high-capacity manifold systems are designed to meet the needs of casinos, convention centers, large hotels and other applications that have a high demand for water.

All Navigator High-Low Valves feature a reliable liquid-filled thermostat with a 10-year warranty, and accurate temperature control to within 3° Fahrenheit. For easier servicing, the valve systems have inlet and outlet shut-off valves.

Navigator NRS Recirculation Station
Bradley is also introducing a new Navigator NRS recirculation station. Designed to take the guesswork out of installing a thermostatic mixing valve in a recirculation system, this pre-assembled, pre-tested recirculation station consists of a Navigator High-Low Valve combined with the components typically used in this type of system: piping assembly; inlet/outlet shut-off valves; pressure/temperature gauges; circulation pump; balancing valve and a GFCI outlet mounted to an enamel-coated strut.

While plumbing engineers will still need to determine the pump and return line sizes, the Navigator NRS simplifies the specification and installation of a thermostatic valve in a domestic hot water distribution system and ensures components are installed in the proper location.
