Festo's Direct-Link Compact Performance Valve Manifold Supports DeviceNet(R) Interface for 8 Valves
The design of DeviceNet-compatible pneumatic valve sensor networks has been simplifled by Festo's new Direct Link Compact Performance Valve Manifold series. This new design of the electronic interface (Direct Link) for the Company's highly successful Compact Performance Valve Manifold Series features modern, double-sided, surface mount technology for optimization of space and reliability. There's no internal wiring, and the operating power is derived from the DeviceNet bus. The manifolds provide for eight valve positions, and there are three different port sizes available (10-, 14- and 18-mm). The full DeviceNet voltage range is supported (11 to 28VDC), and the manifolds can be populated with single or double solenoid 5/2- or double solenoid 5/3-way, and dual 3/2-way (normally open) or dual 3/2-way (normally closed), or a combination of the dual configurations (one each, normally open and normally closed).

Direct Link Compact Performance units for DeviceNet applications are type 10 manifolds and they can sustain the industrial environment to IP 65 standards, while mounted via either DIN Rail or wall-mount bracket.
