Valimo Enables Qualified CA-Services Provider to Issue Mobile Certificates

ISTANBUL, Turkey and HELSINKI, Finland, January 24/- The latest delivery by Valimo Wireless turns e-Güven, the Turkish-qualified Certificate Authority, into the biggest mobile certificate issuer in the world.
Valimo's has equipped e-Güven with a certificate management and registration technology, allowing it to act as a qualified Mobile Certificate Issuer for Turkish citizens.
Mobile certificates enable transactions similar to what a smart card and card-reader accomplish with a PC. With a mobile certificate, the mobile phone is now used to generate digital signatures.
Valimo delivered its Registration Server and Messaging Server, along with RSA CA technology and Gemalto SIM cards. Secure qualified certificates can now be issued based on a digital key pair, generated on the mobile phone's SIM card.
