Press Release Summary:
Tabletop VacTest measures maximum vacuum that container can withstand before it becomes distorted or fails. Digital readout provides continuous vacuum data as container is being tested. The peak value is retained upon failure. Bottles up to 7 in. dia can be tested. Applications include quality testing of products on production floor, incoming inspection of purchased containers and evaluation of container designs in development laboratory.
Original Press Release:
VacTest(TM) (VT1100) Vacuum Tester For Plastic Containers
AgrTopWave LLC announces the availability of VacTestTM (VT11 00), a vacuum tester for plastic containers. VacTest is a tabletop device designed to measure the vacuum resistance of rigid containers. VacTest enables an operator to quickly and easily determine the maximum level of vacuum that a container can withstand before it becomes distorted or fails. Applications for this unit include quality testing of products on the production floor, incoming inspection of purchased containers and evaluation of container designs in the development laboratory. VacTest is ideal for verifying the quality and performance capabilities of containers used for hot-fill and similar applications where containers are subject to distortion due to internal vacuum forces.
The VacTest is designed for simple operation and easy maintenance. A digital readout provides continuous vacuum data as a container is being tested. The peak value is retained upon failure. Due to its unique design, bottles with standard as well as wide mouth finishes (up to seven inches) can be tested without fixture changes.
AgrTopWave LLC develops and manufactures a full line of laboratory and on-line testing/quality control devices for plastic containers and similar products. AgrTopWave's headquarters and main manufacturing facility is located in Butler, PA USA. AgrTopWave is a division of AGR International Inc.
