Vacuum Pump suits clean and dry applications.
Press Release Summary:
XDD1 dry-vacuum diaphragm pump can be used as stand-alone unit or part of modular system. It pumps down to <2 mbar with pumping speed of 1.2 cubic meters per hour. Universal voltage motor covers 100 to 120 V and 200 to 230 V, allowing user to select required voltage. Integral silencer is fitted to exhaust, ensuring minimum disruption from noise. Pump is packaged in 312 x 144 mm housing and is suitable for bench-top applications.
Original Press Release:
New range of vacuum pumps for laboratories
April 22, 2002 (Wilmington, MA) - Leading vacuum pump manufacturer BOC Edwards announces the launch of its new dry-vacuum diaphragm pump. With its small footprint and low pressure, the XDD1 is ideal for clean and dry applications, for example backing turbo-molecular pumps in mass spectrometers.
The XDD1 can be used as a stand-alone pump or part of a modular system and features all the benefits of a dry vacuum pumping system, including no oil changes and minimum annual maintenance. Diaphragm life is typically greater than 10,000 hours, thanks to its unique design.
Neatly packaged in an attractive housing with a footprint of just 312mm x 144mm, the 230V AC XDD1 is ideal for bench-top applications. An integral silencer is fitted to the exhaust ensuring minimum disruption from noise.
Suitable for use in applications requiring low pressure, the XDD1 pumps down to <2mb with a pumping speed of 1.2m3/hr. It has a universal voltage motor covering 100-120V and 200-230V allowing users or OEMs to select the required voltage just by turning a switch.
Also available is a 24V variant for OEM system integration with variable speed and remote control. This is compatible with BOC Edwards' Turbo and Instrument Controller (TIC) which manages and controls the complete vacuum system. The TIC can be used to control up to three active gauges, one turbo pump and a backing pump, and will automatically recognize the BOC Edwards equipment that is connected to it. Enabling OEMs and end users to tailor their vacuum system for maximum efficiency.
