A line of medium-sized inlet traps for pumps from 1 to 50 CFM that are positively sealed to protect against contaminants and prevent oil back- streaming is available from MV Products of No. Billerica, Massachusetts.
MV Posi-Trap Vacuum Inlet Traps feature a selection of self-contained filter cartridges with positive sealing gaskets on both ends to prevent "blow by" and protect the pump from contamination and oil back-streaming. Filter cartridges are user-selectable for customizing the inlet trap to meet a wide range of abrasive and corrosive application requirements.
Available in a 4" model that uses one filter element and an 8" model with four elements, MV Posi-Trap Vacuum Inlet Traps are offered in straight- through and right-angle styles with various types of hose terminations. Filter cartridges include stainless steel- and copper gauze, molecular sieve, Sodasorb', activated charcoal, and Polyro 2, 5, and 20 pm types.
