New Camsorb(TM) V-Cell Sorbent Filter Provides Cost-Effective Odor & Vapor Removal

Riverdale, N.J., December 2004 - A new "Camsorb(TM)" CH Loose-Fill V-Cell filter from Camfil Farr provides cost-effective control of odors, vapors and gaseous pollutants in buildings. The sorbent filter fits into existing HVAC systems and may be used to control normal occupancy odor loads in schools, offices, hotels and industrial buildings. It will also effectively reduce low-level gaseous contaminants and ozone that may enter from the outdoor air.

Use of the Camsorb Loose-Fill V-Cell filter may allow HVAC engineers and building operators to minimize outside air requirements, significantly reducing energy costs associated with heating and cooling of make-up air compared to applications where sorbent filtration is not used. Each filter cartridge features lightweight honeycomb panels containing the loose-fill sorbent media, mounted in a plastic frame for easy installation and disposal. Additional performance features include low resistance to airflow (nominal 0.38" w.g. at 500 fpm) and a MERV 11 particulate removal efficiency. The filter has a 1-inch header for mounting in built-up banks or side access housings with a minimum 12-inch depth.
