Steril-Aire Expands UVC Product Line with 277 Volt Power Supply

Cerritos, Calif., January 2004 - Steril-Aire, Inc. has broadened its line of "UVC Emitters (TM)" for mold and microbial control in HVAC systems, food processing lines and other commercial applications. The company's multi-patented UVC devices (both double-ended and single-ended commercial-grade fixtures) are now available with a 277 volt electronic power supply, for greater end-user convenience, efficiency and flexibility.

Compatible with widely available commercial systems, the 277 volt power supply often allows users to install UVC devices using fewer wires, transformers and other components. It also consumes less electrical energy than power sources with other voltages. The Steril-Aire power supply features a fully electronic design that delivers greater operating efficiency, longer life, and higher reliability than the magnetic-style ballasts used to power many other manufacturers' UVC devices. It is available with a wide variety of tube lengths and configurations to fit virtually any commercial, industrial or institutional application. UVC Emitters are also available with a 115-208/230 volt electronic power supply for customers with different electrical requirements. All devices comply with the latest UL standards.

Steril-Aire is the leader in UVC technology because its devices are proven through independent testing to provide greatly increased output over competitive UV lights in all conditions, and especially in cold and/or moving air environments. Benefits include enhanced germicidal performance, longer tube changeout intervals, and optimal maintenance and energy savings.
