Environmentally Stable UV Optics & Coatings

High-energy ultraviolet (UV) light in the 120-370 nm range, is uniquely beneficial for materials-processing applications such as microlithography for the production of integrated circuits; hole drilling, microstructuring and marking; surface treatment and annealing; vision correction; and fiber Bragg grating writing.

Because the correct choice of optical substrate material, surface quality and optical coating is critical to the success of ultraviolet applications, Melles Griot has designed and manufactured lenses, mirrors, prisms and beam splitters specifically designed for use in the 120-370 nm range.

These affordable components are made from UV-grade synthetic fused silica with an ultrafine laser polish and a 10-5 scratch dig specification. Complementing the optical substrate is the thin-film optical coating designed for optimum performance in the ultraviolet at 193 nm, 248 nm, or 355 nm with excellent durability and consistent performance.
