User-Friendly UV Inspection Lamp Is Very Cool!
Westbury, New York - NDT inspectors have found that the Spectroline® FC-100 UV lamp makes prolonged inspections seem much shorter. That's because the lamp's internal fan provides cool operation, lower running temperatures, increased comfort and improved user safety. The FC-100 is also extremely quiet, so it never bothers the inspector.
The FC-100 is the lightest fan-cooled UV lamp on the market, weighing just 2-1/2 pounds (1.1 kg). Its light weight and ergonomic design, with the handle and cord at the balance point of the lamp, enable the lamp to be held for long periods with minimum user fatigue. A special remote lamp switch in the pistol grip prevents accidental shutoff and a separate fan control switch allows for safe cool-down.
The FC-100 has a 100-watt bulb that delivers a steady-state long-wave UV intensity of 5,000 microW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm). The bulb has a visible light emission of under two foot-candles (20 lux) and has an average rated life of 5,000 hours. The lamp is housed in a super-strong engineering polymer that is dent-proof and impact-resistant. No tools are needed to change the filter or bulb.
