Kawasaki MULE(TM) 3000 Utility Vehicle

Dependable, industrial-grade work vehicle

The Kawasaki MULE(TM) 3000 utility vehicle is specially built for businesses, municipalities, airports and factories that need a dependable work vehicle for transporting cargo. It shares many of the features of its sibling, the four-wheel drive MULE 3010, including an industrial V-twin engine, modern "pickup truck" styling, a steel tilting cargo bed, bench seat and the Kawasaki Automatic-Power-Drive System (KAPS).

The two-wheel drive MULE 3000 utility vehicle has aggressive styling and a rugged grille with rounded fenders. The body panels of the cab are made of durable, color-infused plastic to help hide scuffing, and the front hood of the MULE 3000 can be lifted with the touch of a button to reveal a large storage space, which also has convenient D-rings to help secure cargo. Located beneath the front grille are winch-ready tabs for easy winch mounting, and a passenger-side grab rail is mounted on the cab frame. Plus, two lever latches make opening and closing the tailgate easy.

In addition to light and accurate rack-and-pinion steering, the easy-to-operate controls on the MULE 3000 are ergonomically located for comfort and convenience. The forward/reverse shift lever is located within easy reach on the dash, the coolant temperature warning light is easy to see, and a push-button control activates headlights. Additional features include an hour meter, fuel gauge and horn.

A liquid-cooled four-stroke V-twin engine provides power for the MULE 3000 and features an air restrictor gauge to indicate when the air filter needs to be cleaned or replaced. Plus, the fuse box and oil dipstick are located underneath the seat for easy access.

The MULE 3000 utilizes KAPS, Kawasaki's continuously variable transmission, to provide a wide operating range for abundant pulling power and quick acceleration. Dependable, low-maintenance shaft drive transfers power to a dual-mode differential that can be "locked" to maximize rear-wheel traction, or unlocked to minimize ground disturbance when making tight turns.

The chassis of the MULE 3000 features MacPherson strut front suspension for a smooth, comfortable ride. On the rear, the De Dion rear leaf-spring suspension is designed to carry heavy loads, yet provides a smooth ride when the cargo box is empty. Self-adjusting hydraulic drum brakes at all four wheels provide progressive stopping power, and 23-inch tires provide maximum traction for a variety of surfaces.

The MULE 3000 utility vehicle can carry 803 pounds in its steel cargo bed and can tow 1,200 pounds. Those who want to customize their MULE 3000 can choose from a vast array of accessories available through Kawasaki MULE dealers. Consumers may also purchase accessories through the Internet at www.buykawasaki.com.
