Using WISeKey's WISeID May Have Prevented Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg's Fan Page from Being Hacked

GENEVA, January 27, 2011 - WISeID Personal Data Protector by WISeKey is a unique
application that protects an individual's personal data and personal identifiable information (PII) from hackers, and allows them to maintain control over who accesses their data.

This week alone, Zuckerberg hasn't been the only famous figure to have his Facebook page hacked. A hacker, posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy, posted a message on the President's wall on Sunday stating that he would not run for re-election. Both victims may have been subject to SideJacking or phishing attacks.

WISeID's main objective is to protect your PII, which can be used to identify, contact, locate or even trace a person. The personal data collected by WISeID always stays under the user's control on their mobile phone or device. The PII is never communicated to third parties and never leaves the user's control. Users can generate strong passwords, store them securely, and logon directly to the real web-site; thus using WISeID may have prevented the Facebook founder's page from being hacked.

WISeID is currently #1 in Utilities and in the top 50 overall free apps in the US, and it can be downloaded worldwide for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad from the App Store. It provides users with a secure and easy to use encrypted place to store all their personal data, personal identifiable information, usernames, passwords, PINs, credit cards, loyalty cards, social security number, notes and more. The easy-to-use interface also allows users to log on to websites quickly and securely from the application, securing all data with a strong 256-bit AES encryption algorithm key.
