ADP-232 USB to RS232 Adapter



AAEON's ADP-232 is a USB to RS-232 adapter created to help our customers overcome the complications of transition from legacy RS-232 applications to standard USB2.0. AAEON recognizes the difficulty experienced by system designers when is comes time to select a new single board computer and not all the ports desired are available. The ADP-232 solves that problem by allowing the designer to maintain the desired RS-232 device with it's proven track record and simply plug it into to an available USB port. AAEON has also provided corresponding mounting holes on the PCM-2004 USB Hub/Controller to allow for mounting up to 4 ADP-232s adding as many as 4 more RS-232 ports to your system. The ADP-232 utilizes Cygnal's CP2101 USB to UART IC. Cyngal makes available royalty-free Virtual COM port drivers for seamless operation with existing PC applications. In addition to all of these features, the ADP-232 is USB bus powered, eliminating the need for any cables except for the USB.
