Overview
The ThinkPlus(TM) USB 2.0 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo II Drive is a small form factor, external, portable CD recordable drive that can read CD and DVD data and play back DVD movies when attached to your computer's USB 2.0 port. You can also copy music, video, or data to a single inexpensive, write-once CD-R media or erasable CD-RW media by attaching the drive to one of your computer's USB 2.0 ports.
Note: The ThinkPlus USB 2.0 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo II Drive does not require the included power adapter for normal read/write operations when directly connected to one USB 2.0 port on most ThinkPad® notebooks including the ThinkPad X30, X40, and X60 Series notebooks. However, if you are booting from the ThinkPlus USB 2.0 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo II drive, then the included ac power adapter should be attached to the ThinkPlus USB 2.0 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo II drive prior to booting.
