ROLLING MEADOWS, IL -- Methode Connector Products, a division of Methode Electronics, Inc., introduces its new Adam Technologies Mini USB Connector Series. The Mini USB Connector Series is designed for use with computer, peripheral, and consumer electronics applications that require a high-speed data transfer interface in a compact package.

Methode's Mini USB connectors consist of Type A, B, and AB connectors (as they are defined by Universal Serial Bus specifications). Product variations include board-mount receptacles and cable plugs, both of which meet the requirements of the USB 2.0 specification. The new Type AB connector is compliant with the "On-the-Go" supplement (Rev 1.0) to the USB 2.0 specification for "dual-role" devices that will implement USB without the traditional constraints of the PC/host topology.
