Original Press Release:

Hewlett Packard UPS R12000 XR N+x Delivers 12000 VA and Watts in Just 10 'U' (17.5 inches)

Hewlett-Packard Company (www.hp.com/products/ups) unveiled the HP UPS R12000 XR, N+x - the power industry's most power dense, 10U uninterruptible power system (UPS). With a modular "N+x" parallel redundant architecture, this on-line UPS provides the foundation for building a fault tolerant and scalable power infrastructure for mission-critical data-center applications.

Designed to meet the high-availability demands of 24x7 business needs, the on-line rack UPS R12000 XR offers a modular, "N+x" Parallel Redundant architecture, with four 3KVA modules running in parallel. The "N+x" parallel redundant architecture enables customers to adapt the UPS to growing power requirements, and keeps systems powered and protected against bad power.

The UPS R12000 XR also incorporates a patented "wireless paralleling" technology that eliminates system-level single point of failure. Uniquely, both the logic and the electronics are housed in the individual 3KVA module, and not in the enclosure, as with most competitive UPSs. Combined with unsurpassed power density, hot-swappable lead-tin batteries, and Enhanced Battery Management, the fault tolerant UPS R12000 XR helps customers build a reliable power infrastructure.

Sold through Authorized Dealers, the UPS R12000 XR is available now with a U.S. Internet price of $11,425. Pricing may vary by country or region. Extended Runtime Modules (ERM) are sold separately.
